Zombi is a series of survival horror games developed by Ubisoft.
The first game, titled Zombi, was originally created by Ubisoft in 1986 and was released on the ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, Amiga and IBM PC. It borrows heavily from the George A. Romero film Dawn of the Dead: four protagonists exploring a zombie-filled shopping mall, gunshops, escalators, and the articulated trucks used to block the entrances. If a character's health is depleted, he turns into a zombie, which then roams the room they died in. Zombies can be killed either by numerous body shots, or a single shot to the head. Characters are named after the creators of the game.
ZombiU is a reboot of the original Zombi and was released exclusively on the Nintendo Wii U in 2012. The game was later ported to PC, PS4 and Xbox One under the name ZOMBI, which is the same name as the original.
A third instalment, tentatively titled ZombiU 2, started development in 2013 but was cancelled shortly after, due to the disappointing sales of ZombiU.
