Most iconic area of Zombiu?

I'd like to make a poll but that doesn't seem possible, so instead I'll ask here: Which is the most emblematic area of the game in your opinion?

Creating the Narrative of ZombiU

At GDC 2013, Award-winning ZombiU writers Gabrielle Shrager (story design director, Ubisoft Montpellier) and Antony Johnston (New York Times best-selling graphic novelist and games writer) retraced the steps that led from 'just another zombie shooter' to a game rich with mythology, backstory, and narrative. The session discussed how various design decisions affected the use of narrative in the game.

The concept of Permadeath completely influences narrative designs, because of the consistant changing hands of characters. Once a character is bitten, they are dead forever. One of the main narrative problems came from crafting a 20 hour story that can be told through the eyes of several silent protagonists, and this is without repeating any eveā€¦

Upcoming King of the Zombies Updates

CONGRATS! YOU SURVIVED THE APOCALYPSE! Well I think in terms of the ZombiU developers, that might be a bad think as ZombiU seemed to thrive off the horror that was the Mayan Apocalypse...

Anyway, I've been spending all day playing through the King of the Zombies multiplayer - alone. I've been trying to play through so we can have some more information on the King of the Zombies wikia page including Survivor Gifts and Spawner Level Ups. Already got a good amount down, but I want to do some more before I'm sure that I'll be fine to update the page.

The new information should be up tonight, though might be delayed to tomorrow due to personal things.

Also, I think that it would be nice to get as much information down as we can before Christmas soā€¦

New Poll!

Hi everyone! Exophesis here.

Yesterday I added a new poll and already it looks like it has proven quite popular and has shown us some interesting information.

As of the time of writing this, the stats are:

Yes - 14 votes (35%)

No - 6 votes (15%)

No, but I plan to get it - 20 votes (50%)

This shows some interesting information from the people who have visited the wikia. It seems like many people visit the wikia maybe to gain information on the game before purchasing (which reminds me that a "Reception" section needs to be added to the ZombiU page) or maybe to check out other peoples opinions on the game. But then we have "Yes" as the second place answer, which of course means people are viewing the wikia to either help with editing the informatioā€¦

ZombiU VS Video Game Zombies

ZombiU is a survival horror/action game developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and is one of the Wii U's launch titles. In 2012, the city of London has fallen victim to a large scale zombie apocalypse. A famed prophecy by astronomer John Dee called the Black Prophecy foresaw the large scale destruction beforehand. A no-nonsense, military man known simply as The Prepper helps lead various survivors out of the city. The player assumes control of randomly generated survivors at each life, and must escape the city with their lives.

The game could be considered a return to form of survival horror, but how does the game's features stack up against other zombie franchise games? Be sure to vote on which feature wins out.

5 Things You Need To Know About ZombiU

One of the biggest features about ZombiU is the use of randomly generated survivors. Players will assume control of vastly different randomly-generated survivors. These characters all have different ethnicities, ages, and occupations, and appearances. Their personal role in the zombie outbreak is limited, but their survival certainly isn't. ZombiU utilizes a permanent death feature. If the player character is killed in any manner, they will not return. Instead, the player will spawn as a brand new survivor at their last visited safe house. Be careful, when a survivor dies they drop their backpack full of all collected items. To get it back, the player must venture to the place of last death, and dispatch the zombified version of their lastā€¦

My day with ZombiU

My day with ZombiU has been interesting. First off, it's not the game everybody wanted. It is not worth buying the Wii U for. Some components of the game are great, but they just aren't pulled off right. I find the game feeling repetitive after a few hours, beating zombies with the same cricket bat I had been using for hours. Another thing that I found is that is is very frustrating. Every time you die, you spawn back in a safe hours that is sometimes very far from where you died at. I know it is the point of the game, but it doesn't work right. Once you get back to where your character died, either he is already dead (I don't know how) or he takes one cricket bat hit to the head to kill. On average, it takes 3 hits to kill a zombie with tā€¦

ZombiU: A Hands-On Experience

Last week, I got an exciting hands-on experience with Ubisoftā€™s ZombiU. The game was in demo form, with both single player and multiplayer represented, and it was exciting to see a brand new game (and console) in action. Before playing the polished demo, I knew very little about the details of the game. I knew it was a launch title, I knew it had zombies in it, and that was about the full extent of my knowledge.

Iā€™d like to admit that survival horror games are one of my favorite video game genres. I played the original Resident Evil for the Playstation, and that would kickstart my interest in other games of the genre. I have played Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Clocktower, and Fatal Frame series rather extensively. More recent games of the suā€¦
